Quick update: High School Retreat!

Hey everyone! Myah is working on a more comprehensive update to send out soon, but I wanted to share a quick update about our recent high school "intensive" retreat!

Myah and I had the honor of helping coordinate and lead our first high school intensive this past weekend. We worked with our friends Tianna and Joel to plan content, create the schedule, assign roles, and lead the whole retreat! Myah was the "MC" for the entire weekend, making sure all the students knew what was happening and when. I got the opportunity to teach an hour long class about "Law vs Grace" and how to properly view the gospel.

We had 15 students attend the retreat, which was probably the most we've ever had at a high school intensive! Our theme for the weekend was "the unveiling", using the theme passage 2 Corinthians 3:12-18. During our final session, students were asked to write a lie keeping them from God on a piece of cloth, then tear the cloth and burn it, symbolizing their direct access to God through the cross of Jesus. Many students had significant encounters with Jesus through this experience and through the worship session Myah and I were honored to lead the same night.

One student came in with a number of things weighing her down; depression, anxiety, anger...etc. After our Saturday night session, she told one of our team members that after she "tore the veil", the Lord told her she was free and she felt all the weight and darkness lift off of her. She left the retreat looking and acting visibly different than the way she came into the weekend! Praise the Lord! "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." 2 Corinthians 3:17

We were so honored to lead this retreat and see the Lord work throughout the weekend! Thank you all for your support that allows us to pour our time into ministry here at Revolution 5! Look out for a longer update coming from Myah soon :)
